Keeping You Safe!

During the COVID-19 pandemic, the safety and well-being of our patients, staff and doctors is our first priority. Our team will continue to go above and beyond the expectations for optometry practices so that everyone who enters our practice will feel safe. We would like you to know the steps we are taking.

What You Can Expect

Steps for US

  • Periodic asymptomatic screening of staff with Rapid Antigen Tests (RATs)
  • All of our assistants and doctors will be wearing appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) including masks and face-shields or goggles.
  • Hand sanitizer is available at the entrance and throughout the practice.
  • Plexiglass shields have been installed at the front desk when you check in.
  • Minimal waiting room chairs to maintain social distancing.
  • Appointment times will be scheduled further apart to limit the number of patients in the office at any one time.
  • We will be aware of common “touch points” within the clinic such as doorknobs, counters, keyboards, credit card machines, pens, etc. and will be disinfecting frequently.
  • Examination rooms will be disinfected after every patient exam including all surfaces, instrumentation and equipment.
  • Every frame handled will be sanitized before being placed back on the shelves.
  • All reading material has been removed from the waiting area.
  • Credit card tap available to make payments
  • All paperwork (eg.  receipts, prescriptions) can be emailed to the patient upon request.
  • Contact lens orders can be mailed directly to your home.
  • We will deep clean at the end of each day

Precautions for YOU

  • We ask that you arrive at your appointment alone.  If you require assistance or are a minor, one caregiver/parent can be present.
  • Anyone entering the office will be required to wear a face mask that fully covers the nose and mouth.  Masks with vents not accepted.  If you do not have one, a mask can be purchased at the front reception for a nominal fee of $2.
  • We ask that upon entering our clinic that you immediately use the hand sanitizer.
  • Upon your arrival you may be asked to wait outside or in your vehicle depending on how many patients are currently in the office.
  • We may ask you to leave the office if you show flu-like signs, cold/fever, or coughing.
  • Staff will not shake hands with any of our patients. Please don’t take it personally.
  • We will be practicing safe distancing within the clinic and we ask that you do your best to keep a minimum of 6 feet between you and other patients.
  • When possible curbside pickup of contact lenses or eyeglasses will be used.
